The trade fair feeling is back - successful new edition of METAL EXPO in Kielce/Poland

People need fixed parameters they can orientate themselves by

You could almost feel it, people were ready for personal contacts again.

Last year, the largest foundry fair in Eastern Europe in Kielce had to be postponed due to Corona - but last week it could take place.

Certainly, with a little more distance and time to get used to it again and with fewer exhibiting companies, staff and visitors. The organisers from Targi Kielce counted more than 10.000 visitors for three days and that is a good order of magnitude in these times.

Nevertheless, compliments to the organisers, who bravely seized the opportunity and let in vaccinated, recovered and tested people and deserved applause for this.It was immediately clear what personal meetings are all about: contacts, even chance encounters, lots of good exchanges and synergies.

Especially in turbulent times, it seems particularly important for people to be able to orient themselves to fixed parameters, and this also includes events that go beyond the pragmatism of the virtual.

Congratulations Targi Kielce, may the exhibiting companies and visitors profit sustainably from their participation.

Overall, the event offered an up-to-date cross-section and a convincing overview of current developments in mechanical engineering and services with a view to digitalisation.

Raw materials and auxiliaries were almost not represented but were on the road as visitors. The Italian mechanical engineering association AMAFOND, headed by Fabrizio Carmagnini, was present with a large number of Italian suppliers, as well as many companies from Germany, the UK, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, etc.

Due to the pandemic, almost no representatives from Asia were seen and it is to be hoped that the situation will ease even more before the next METAL Expo in Kielce.
