The first session starts in the morning and is dedicated specifically to the current changes in the global automotive industry. Under the title "Autonomous, shared, electric? Transformation of the car sector and aluminium's perspectives", Hélène Wagnies (DUCKER Research & Consulting), Dr. Manuel Kallweit (German Association of the Automotive Industry) and Patrik Ragnarsson (European Aluminium) will be among the speakers.
On the topic of sustainability in the afternoon, Eoin Dinsmore (CRU Group), Dr Carsten Gerhardt (Circular Valley), Leopold Werdich (Tubex) and Guido Aufdemkamp (EAFA) will discuss the future significance of aluminium and pursue the question: "Circular economy and aluminium: Best practice for the European green deal?"
The ALUMINIUM Digital Talk will be streamed live from a studio in Düsseldorf via the "Zoom" platform and will offer viewers the opportunity to participate interactively in this new and digital format by posing questions to the experts.
Disruption and perspectives
"The aluminium industry is currently driven by changes and megatrends such as the New Mobility and sustainability. With the ALUMINIUM Digital Talk, we want to pick up on these trend-setting topics at the original trade fair date in May and thus give a foretaste of the topics and issues that will be the focus of ALUMINIUM and the accompanying conference in September", says Malte Seifert, ALUMINIUM Project Manager at organiser Reed Exhibitions.
The programme is being realised in cooperation with the German aluminium association, Gesamtverband der Aluminiumindustrie e.V. (GDA). "The topics of the ALUMINIUM Digital Talks are at the top of the agenda for our industry. We have the opportunity not only to react to the changes in the markets, but also to play an active role in shaping them at this stage," says Marius Baader, Managing Director of GDA.
