BMW China sales in January up by 14.7%

BMW AG, the world's largest premium car maker, has said its auto sales in mainland China rose 14.7% YoY to 30,397 units last month. The figure accounted for 24.66% of BMW's global sales in January.

Last month, sales of BMW brand cars in China market grew 14.3% YoY to about 28,597 units, and sales of Mini brand vehicles jumped 20.3% YoY to 1,800 units.

China still remains the largest single market for BMW brand and the fourth largest market for Mini brand.

In 2012, BMW saw its China sales amount to 326,444 units, up 40.4% from the previous year, including about 300,000 units of BMW brand vehicles.
