BMW sees China sales hit record 25,377 in Aug

China Knowledge reported that BMW AG, the world's largest premium car maker sales of BMW and Mimi vehicles in mainland China rose 38% YoY to 25,377 units in August this year.

Last month, sales of BMW cars grew 36% YoY to 23,500 units and sales of Mini brand vehicles jumped 62% YoY to 1,877 units.

In the first eight moths of this year, BMW saw its China sales amount to 207,425 units up by 31%YoY and reflecting the highest level ever recorded.

The auto maker has said that its sales in the US fell 5.7% YoY to 22,553 units last month, taking its total sales in the market to 208,268 units in the first eight months up by 7.6%YoY.
