Reading time: min

An estimated 10,000 guests are expected to attend this weekend’s CastExpo, the largest trade show and exhibition for metal casting in America.

The convention, held at the America’s Center April 6 through 9, is expected to generate $7.8 million in direct spending, according to officials from the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission (CVC).

Local companies such as Didion International in St. Peters as well as BiState Rubber in Fenton, Corbitt Manufacturing Co. in St. Charles, Bodine Aluminum in Overland and Precision Castings Inc. in Winfield, Mo., plan to attend the expo.

The once-every-three-year CastExpo offers metalcasters, suppliers, casting buyers and designers the opportunity to connect and educate themselves on the latest metalcasting. The convention is sponsored by the American Foundry Society, which serves more than 700 corporate members and close to 7,000 individual members.
