Change of Management at World’s Largest Latch Factory – Kiekert Appoints New General Manager at its Czech Plant

Kiekert AG, the technology leader in automotive locking systems, has appointed Lukas Hlava (38) as General Manager at its plant in Prelouc, Czech Republic. Lukas Hlava, who has been working successfully for Kiekert for thirteen years, takes over plant management with immediate effect and will continue to develop the business of what is already the world’s largest latch factory. Hlava will report directly to Jürgen Peulen, Kiekert Executive Vice President Operations.

Lukas Hlava began his career with Kiekert in 2002 at the company’s plant in the Czech Republic, where he has held several positions in the Finance function. In 2009, the Business Studies graduate moved to Heiligenhaus, Germany, where he was responsible for Kiekert’s plants worldwide as Finance Manager Operations Controlling & Business Planning. Lukas Hlava was appointed General Manager of Kiekert Heiligenhaus in 2012. Prior to joining Kiekert, the Czech native worked for Foxconn in Pardubice, Czech Republic. “With an operating profit of 680 million euros, last year saw us achieve the best ever result in our company’s history. As the world’s largest production facility for locking systems, our Czech plant made a significant contribution to this. Lukas Hlava is the right man for the job. His many years of expertise and knowledge of the country’s economic and cultural specifics will help him continue the success of our Czech factory,” says Dr. Karl Kraus CEO of Kiekert AG.
