The recent introduction of specialized Nodularisers and High Potency Inoculants has enabled our valued foundry customers in China to eliminate shrinkage defects in Ductile Iron Components, thus reducing production costs markedly.
These impressive results have been achieved via close co-operation between Elkem’s technical team and our customers. In many cases, customers advised that these defect issues had persisted for some time, and despite many adjustments and changes to their processes they had been unable to eliminate the problems. Only through a systematic approach to defect analysis and the use of High Quality Nodularisers & Inoculants were Elkem able to provide the results that our customers in China had been looking for.
The introduction of new Commercial and Technical staff members to strengthen the team in China reinforces Elkem’s commitment to this important market.
Together, and with the support of the existing network of local staff and International Technical Resources, these new team members look forward to working closely with our customer base to improve casting quality and reduce costs.
