Euroguss 2008

Foundry-Planet exhibition preview

Reading time: min

EUROGUSS continues its success story in 2008. The International Trade Fair for Pressure Die Casting takes place in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 11-13 March 2008 and has appreciably expanded in all relevant exhibition parameters. The space at EUROGUSS has grown by 28 per cent compared with the previous event. The number of exhibitors has also really grown and some 400 companies (2006: 324) have already registered for Nürnberg. This means EUROGUSS is almost booked up a few weeks before the start. “We have taken our exhibitors’ wishes to heart and added another hall for EUROGUSS. Despite the extra space, we have only very few free stand spaces still available,” says Bettina Focke, Exhibition Manager of EUROGUSS at NürnbergMesse. The experts can also obtain comprehensive information at the same time by attending the three days of top presentations at the 8th International Die Casting Congress.

EUROGUSS has established itself as the international get-together for the die casting community at the heart of Europe. Its clear focus on die casting makes it unique throughout the world and the place where purely professionals meet – exhibitors and visitors. This creates a constructive and creative working atmosphere that is unparalleled. Problems are solved, ideas exchanged and business transacted. About 400 exhibiting companies from 32 countries will present their products and services to experts in Nürnberg in 2008. The spectrum ranges from foundries, machinery manufacturers and service providers to quality assurance. In Nürnberg, the visitors find new technologies and products as well as innovative alloys and materials. The lion’s share of the exhibitors still comes from Europe, but it should be mentioned as a positive aspect that the exhibition – in contrast to the trend – not only generates its growth from abroad, but to an equally large extent from Germany.

Exciting specialities
There will be a special supporting programme again in 2008. Bettina Focke is secretive and keeps us in suspense: “It will be an exciting programme this time. I’m eagerly awaiting the brilliant and sparkling special features at EUROGUSS, but I can’t reveal any more.”

International Die Casting Congress annually in Nürnberg since 2007
The International Die Casting Congress enters its eighth round this year with a sophisticated and top-flight programme of presentations. “We are pleased that the International Die Casting Congress has found its home here and takes place annually in Nürnberg with effect from March 2007,” says Roland Tannreuther, responsible for the overall management of EUROGUSS. The international die casting experts meet at their industry’s get-together with its focus on presentations by professionals for professionals. The Die Casting Congress will now also take place in Nürnberg in the years between EUROGUSS. The organizer is the honorary sponsor of the exhibition, the Verband Deutscher Druckgießereien (VDD), in cooperation with the Verein Deutscher Gießereifachleute (VDG).

From 11-13 March 2008, the congress under the motto of “Die casting = moulding the future” gives the experts the chance to source information on key topics such as the following: “Network concept as solution to mutual problems”, “Traceability of die cast parts”, “Energy conservation in the die casting foundry”, “Innovative heat treatment”, and “Endoscopic inspection of machined die cast parts”, to mention only a few of the presentations. The complete congress programme can be seen on the Internet at: <link http: www.euroguss.de>www.euroguss.de

New online platform for exhibitors and visitors
Visitors wanting to prepare for EUROGUSS 2008 quickly and easily and obtain comprehensive information about exhibitors and new products now have an extensive online tool only a few clicks away at

The versatile Internet service is an extra marketing instrument for both visitors and exhibitors that makes exhibiting more successful the whole year round: Researching, arranging appointments and downloading information can all be handled direct – even before or after the actual exhibition. This means contacts within the industry community are possible at any time, and the exhibition itself profits from excellently prepared visitors and efficient customer contacts.

EUROGUSS 2008 and the 8th International Die Casting Congress take place in parallel at the Nürnberg venue from 11-13 March 2008.
