The aim now is to further develop the company together with its approximately 60 employees. ‘The foundry has extensive technical expertise, a dedicated team and a good reputation in the market – we want to build on that,’ says Hans-Christian Zink, who will manage the company as managing director.

Specifically, the plan is to secure and further consolidate the existing order volume. In addition, the production volume is to be expanded through new projects. Synergy effects in logistics areas and the newly created large paint booth with the affiliated companies on campus are to be exploited and targeted cost optimisation measures implemented in order to strengthen competitiveness in the long term.

The business will continue to operate under the name Förde Guss GmbH. The location and the majority of jobs will remain unchanged. Employees were informed of the sale today.

ZET – Gesellschaft zur Entwicklung der Bahntechnik SH/Kiel mbH was advised on the transaction by solicitor and restructuring expert Olaf Seidel from AndresPartner.
