According to "Automobilwoche" (German "Automotive Weekly"), the latest example is the Bosch company with plants in Homburg in the Saarland and in Bamberg, Germany.
It has already cut 600 jobs, due to falling demand for diesel vehicles in Germany. Bosch is trying to make reduce job in a responsible manner, but further cuts are feared if the trend continues.
Bosch has around 50,000 employees in diesel technology, which is reason enough to look for alternative replacement technologies.
