As Automobilwoche reports, around 600 employees lost their jobs at the insolvent supplier, Gusswerke Saarbrücken. Now all eyes are on the Ferraro Group to potentially save the remaining 400 employees.
After the withdrawal of General Motors as a customer, about 600 out of 1000 employees lost their jobs at the insolvent foundry. As contractor of the engine block foundry, the customers Perkins and Deutz are still on board. The future of the approximately 400 remaining highly-qualified employees also depends on whether a buyer is found for the supplier. There is still hope.
