Supplier adds six languages to unit for recording tool data.

At the EuroMold show in Frankfurt, Germany, AST Technology demonstrated the latest edition of its CVe Monitor System, Version 1.7, which now offers users the ability to perform comprehensive mould management in 10 languages. Along with the previous four languages (English, German, Mandarin and Spanish), this release adds French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Thai.

The unit is said to be the first to provide comprehensive mould data that are downloadable from the device to generate mould performance reports. In addition, critical documentation can be stored on its internal flash drive. With free CVe OnDemand software, users can access mould histories from anywhere in the world. AST engineer Tom Knight explained the advantages: “With the growing number of CVe Monitor System users worldwide, combined with the very broad, global reach of the plastics industry in general, we made it a priority to ensure that customers everywhere could benefit from the features of this unique system. Also, we’ve worked closely with our users group to learn what additional features and tweaks are desired, and have made numerous modifications as a result of their feedback.”

In addition to the monitor system, AST’s booth featured the company’s full array of services, including design for manufacturing (DFM), standard tooling and engineering, process development and optimisation, and assessment and training.
