During five days GIFA / METEC / THERMPROCESS / NEWCAST International Trade Fairs offered a very positive result. With 78,000 visitors from over 120 countries and 2,214 exhibitors, this quartet of fairs was at the same level of previous events. Two-thirds of visitors were directly linked with corporate purchasing decisions.
Under the Agreement between ABIFA and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency – Apex-Brazil, 11 companies in the industry attended NEWCAST as exhibitors: Açotécnica, Altona, Corona Cadinhos, Faig, Granaço, Hübner, Menegotti, Refrata, Trufer, Ventistamp and WHB.
In an area of 155m², these companies could in these five days exhibit their products and maintain business contacts with casting purchasers from around the world. In addition, they could show their brands and catch up on what is most innovative in the industry over the competition, suppliers, sustainability and energy consumption reduction.
The number of visits to the stand of Foundry Brazil Project was excellent in every day, causing great expectations of generating business by the companies that reported that during those days they were able to meet with their target audiences in all industries segments of the castings consuming sectors. Over 450 contacts were achieved. Some countries of these contacts were: Germany, USA, India, China, Pakistan, United Kingdom, Turkey, Belgium, Austria, England, Russia, South Korea, Thailand and Poland.
The evaluation of such action by the companies resulted in 90% of them considered the event excellent or good and 100% plan to participate in other actions of the Foundry Brazil Project.
On the stand were also received representatives of Brazilian companies that were visiting the fair, of other suppliers companies in the industry that were also exposing, and professionals of associations of several other countries such as Germany, China, Japan and United States.
NEWCAST, held every four years, it is the world's largest foundry fair. It shows various casting products, from high-precision parts for use in medicine to marine engines weighing many tons. Its platform is dedicated exclusively to foundries.
NEWCAST attracts a professional audience of decision-making areas of automotive and auto parts industries, the major customers of Brazilian foundries, and also others sectors of major consumers of castings such as machinery and equipment, agricultural, mining and railways, among others.
