Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd, a joint venture company of MMTC and the Odisha government, has achieved steel making capabilities after a ten year long wait.
The company now has a fully automated BOF and continuous casting plant. The company has also announced its intention to install a rolling mill. NNL started production in 2002, but were only making pig iron.
