The funds will be used entirely for a major expansion project being implemented by the subsidiary Chongqing Magnesium Industry Technology at its main site in the Jiulong Industrial Park. The total investment amounts to around € 27 million, and the construction period is scheduled to last 24 months.
The company plans to massively expand its capacity with the construction of a new production facility and modern manufacturing technology, including high-vacuum die casting, semi-solid die casting, and casting cells with 1,650 to 5,000 tons of clamping force.
The focus is on high-strength magnesium alloys and large, complex structural components for electric vehicles and two-wheelers, such as seat frames, console brackets, and housings for electric drives. Overall, annual capacity is expected to grow by 4,000 tons.
Xinyuan is considered a leading player in the magnesium sector and has a mature R&D system and many years of expertise in magnesium and aluminum die casting. With this project, the company is strengthening its position in a rapidly growing global market and advancing its new strategic path of “lightweight construction + intelligent systems.” The aim is to expand the product range, eliminate capacity bottlenecks, and significantly increase profitability and market presence in the field of magnesium alloy components.
