Istma, the umbrella association of the world’s national tool and mould making organisations, has announced that machine tools supplier DMG/Mori Seiki has become an official member of its Global Partners Program.
Istma said the official agreement was signed in Italy on 24 May, by Mario Stroppa, the CEO of DMG/Mori Seiki Europe, and Istma World President Fausto Romagnani. The agreement is valid for a two-year period according to program conditions and procedures.
A DMG/Mori Seiki representative is expected to participate at Istma meetings to introduce the company and share its expectations of the partnership with national association representatives.
Other current members of the Istma Global Partners Program include industrial coatings supplier Oerlikon Balzers and metal maker Uddeholm. Partners work with Istma on specialized workshops, conferences and industry exhibitions as well as R&D projects. Istma shares news with its members about specific activities and events promoted by the partners and any other information valuable to the tooling industry.
