This year, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) will participate in Euroguss with a delegation of 25 leading Italian companies from the die-casting industry, together with the Italian foundry suppliers’ association of AMAFOND. The Italian Pavilion will be located in Hall 4A, islands 404 – 414 – 416 – 422 – 514 – 516 – 522.

The aim of the Italian Trade Agency is to provide an international showcase for Italian excellence and to strengthen the position of the Italian die-casting industry on global markets.

Germany is an important export market for Italy in this sector. German imports of foundry moulding boxes recorded a significant increase in 2025 (+17%), reaching over €931 million. China remains the main partner, maintaining a market share of between 34% and 36%, while Italy recorded a very sharp increase (+68%), reaching a 10% share and positioning itself among the main emerging suppliers. In contrast, the industrial furnace sector in Germany suffered a sharp decline: total imports fell dramatically from €34.2 million in 2023 to €13.4 million in 2025, a 39% drop in 2025 compared to 2024.

The German ferrous metals sector shows a slight but steady decline in the value of imports, which fell from €44.1 billion in 2023 to €38.4 billion in 2025. Italy confirms its position as the leading European supplier, with a constant share of 11%. The aluminium market shows a moderately expansive trend: in 2025, imports increased to €15.6 billion (+5% compared to 2024). The Netherlands, Austria and Italy together account for about a quarter of the market.

The Italian exhibitors include die-casting foundries as well as manufacturers and suppliers of machinery, components, equipment and services. Their offerings cover a broad range of solutions, from melting furnaces and die-casting machines to automated and robotized systems, process control technologies and advanced software solutions for the die-casting industry.

This year’s Italian participation highlights a highly innovative and diversified portfolio, reflecting Italy’s strong know-how in technological development, quality manufacturing and sustainable production processes, serving key industrial sectors such as automotive, mobility, mechanical engineering, electronics and industrial applications.
