According to the Mexican Association of the Automobile Industry, domestic car sales in the Mexican auto industry rose by 11.4% YoY in July 2012 as compared to the same month of 2011 and were down by 2.7% MoM, amounting to 76,376 units.
Meanwhile, according to the data released by the Mexican Association of Car Distributors, Mexican car and light commercial vehicle production totaled 238,146 units in July 2012, rising by 17.7% YoY, while the country's exports of cars and light commercial vehicles in July 2012 increased by 19.1% YoY to 201,156 units.
In the first seven months of 2012, Mexican car and light commercial vehicle production amounted to 1,654,709 units, increasing by 13.4% YoY, while its car and light commercial vehicle exports in the period in question increased 15.5% YoY, amounting to 1,399,951 units.
