With the Flow Finishing system Rösler has developed a unique mass finishing system with high performance, high flexibility, little space requirements and a high degree of automation – shown at AMB Stuttgart in hall 6, stand E32.
New, innovative surfacefinishing solutions are required for shorter product lifecycles, a growing number of product variations and increasing competition. A good example for such an innovative approach is the new Flow Finisher for which Rösler has filed for a patent. The Flow Finisher can be used for the deburring, surfacegrinding, polishing, edge breaking and degreasing of small, flat components up to larger parts of different shapes, made from different materials.
The Flow Finisher is ideal for surfacefinishing of delicate, thin-gauge parts which tend to bend or warp. In this unique mass finishing system parts and media are tumbling over each other in the work chamber, which is formed by a continuous belt. The intensity of the finishingprocess for different parts can be adjusted by the variable belt speed and the use of different grinding or polishing media. The variable belt speed allows a processing range from very aggressive to extremely gentle. The “flowing” motion of media and parts allows the processing of highly delicate parts which until now, could not be finished in a mass finishing system. One of the significant features of the Flow Finisher are dividers in the work chamber, which prevent parts from nicking each other. Another feature is the quick change of media: By reversing the direction of the belt, media and parts are quickly and completely unloaded from the work chamber and transferred to a vibratory screener where they are separated. Combined, these features ensure absolute batch integrity. The vibratory screener is usually equipped with an undersize media classification screen.
The work chamber is easily accessible. Since the flow finisher does not emit any vibrations, it can be installed in the direct vicinity of machine tools. It can actually be linked with machining centers with various material handling systems for fully automatic operation. Automatic transfer of the finished parts to a drier is also possible.
As an all-round supplier, Rösler GmbH is an international market leader in the production of surfacefinishing, shot blasting machines, painting systems and preservation lines as well as process technology for the rational surfacefinishing (deburring, descaling, sand removal, polishing, grinding…) of metals and other components. Besides the German plants in Untermerzbach and Bad Staffelstein, the Rösler Group has branches in Great Britain, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Romania, China, Brazil, South Africa and USA.
