Phoenix Mecano (India) Ltd. an Indo-Swiss joint venture, engaged in the manufacturing of enclosures, mechanical and electronic components has strengthened its manufacturing base in India by adding on to the existing capacities and by starting production activities for new segments.
The Phoenix Mecano Group has invested over 4 million Euros in the last couple of years to expand its manufacturing and distribution activities in India.
Under the expansion drive an ultramodern <link _top>aluminum die-casting unit to manufacture enclosures has been set up, which has not only increased the capacity by 3 folds but has also increased the number of types of enclosures being manufactured in India as compared to the capacity before.
Now the Pune unit is manufacturing 70 different types of enclosures as compared to 30 before. The current capacity of the plant is to manufacture over 2.5 million enclosures per annum & the sprawling facility is spread over 70000 square feet.
