“There is a steadily growing demand for precision components up to 7 tons—particularly for engine blocks, compressors, or machine beds,” explains Managing Director Michael Judaschke. “This targeted investment completes our offering in this important market segment and continues our strategic development as a full-service provider for large and complex forged and cast parts.”
As part of the acquisition, ProMachining is taking over both state-of-the-art machining centers and a team of highly skilled professionals on site. The new equipment includes advanced 4- and 5-axis milling machines, ideally suited for processing large and heavy workpieces made of steel, cast iron, or aluminum.
A key factor in the decision was the advantageous location: The new site in Neumünster is just 30 minutes from ProMachining’s headquarters in Kiel. “This close proximity allows us to integrate the new facility seamlessly into our operations and reinforces our commitment to delivering top-tier quality 'Made in Germany',” says Judaschke.
ProMachining GmbH specializes in the machining of components for mechanical engineering, power generation, and defense industries. The company is capable of handling parts weighing up to 100 tons and continues to grow through strategic acquisitions and portfolio expansion under its buy-and-build strategy. “We already offer both high-volume production parts and smaller, highly complex one-offs from a single source—with top quality and optimized delivery performance,” Judaschke emphasizes. “Our goal is to become a full-service provider for complete assemblies in various weight classes up to 100 tons.”
The recent investment is already bearing fruit: ProMachining has secured initial orders for the new machinery—both from existing clients and a number of new customers.
