Four leading global trade fairs, one shared goal: shaping the future of the international metals and foundry industries. From 21 to 25 June 2027, “The Bright World of Metals” will once again unite international market leaders, hidden champions, and newcomers in Düsseldorf – covering everything from iron and steel to aluminum and other non-ferrous metals.

At the center of attention: the industry’s key topics – sustainability and decarbonization, digitalization and automation, resource efficiency and circular economy, talent development, as well as global networking and knowledge transfer. These topics will shape the exhibition program, thematic areas, and forums, providing the framework for innovation, transformation, and the future viability of the international metals and foundry industries. Companies can now register online to secure their place:www.gifa.de/1330, www.metec.de/1330www.thermprocess-online.com/1330, www.newcast.de/1330

Already in 2023, the trade fair quartet demonstrated its industry-shaping power: 2,200 exhibitors from 56 countries, 63,300 trade visitors from 116 nations, with 58 percent decision-makers and 68 percent international participation. After pandemic-related restrictions, GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS, and NEWCAST ranked among the world’s most successful capital goods trade fairs, further consolidating their position as global flagship events and showcases for innovation and sustainable solutions in international competition.

“At GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS, and NEWCAST, companies and decision-makers, innovations and markets meet. Those who exhibit in Düsseldorf in 2027 not only position themselves technologically but also become part of a platform that actively drives industrial transformation. At the same time, participating companies benefit from our global expertise and from the eleven international satellite events of the Bright World of Metals,” explains Malte Seifert, Director Metals & Autonomous Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf.

Four Leading Trade Fairs – One Industry Summit

The trade fair quartet combines leading international events to create a global stage for technologies, trends, and networking in the metals sector.

  • GIFA: As the world’s leading trade fair for foundry technology, GIFA showcases the full spectrum of modern casting – from innovative casting processes and additive manufacturing to resource-efficient production solutions. A wide range of materials and technological innovations in machinery and plant engineering complement the exhibition.

  • METEC: The central platform for metallurgy, metal production, and processing, METEC focuses on sustainable processes along the entire value chain – from green steel, aluminum, and copper to recycling.

  • THERMPROCESS: The world’s leading platform for industrial heat treatment technologies, presenting forward-looking solutions that drive the transformation of thermal process technology – from electrification and hydrogen to energy-efficient combustion systems.

  • NEWCAST: Focused on innovative precision casting products and lightweight construction solutions, NEWCAST reflects the dynamics of modern manufacturing and provides a showcase for the sector’s innovative strength.

Globally Connected – With Trade Fairs and Partners Worldwide

The international orientation forms the backbone of the “Bright World of Metals.” In addition to the flagship events in Düsseldorf, numerous international trade fairs strengthen global presence and knowledge transfer between markets.

With events such as ANKIROS and ALUEXPO in Istanbul, METEC India in Mumbai, GIFA/METEC Indonesia in Jakarta, GIFA/METEC Southeast Asia in Bangkok, THERMPROCESS China in Shanghai, GIFA Mexico in Monterrey, GIFA/METEC Middle East Africa in Cairo, and GIFA/METEC Saudi Arabia in Riyadh, a worldwide network has been established that connects innovations across the globe and drives new impulses in the industry. A recent addition is the cooperation with Inter Foundry in Coimbatore, India, starting in 2026.
