According to overseas media reports, the European Union said that it has applied to set up a dispute resolution panel in the World Trade Organization to solve the issue of China rare earth mineral export restrictions, adding that they have no choice but to resort to litigation.
According to a Reuters report, the WTO conducted formal consultations with China in April in order to reach a solution.
The European Commission said that it would lodge a complaint against China together with the United States and Japan to make China comply with international obligations.
