Reading time: min

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN, USA (WLFI) - A program is helping turn ideas into reality.  The "Purdue Foundry" is opening it's doors this later this summer to help Purdue students, faculty and staff who have ideas for a product or business, get them to the marketplace.  "The Foundry" will be housed on the second floor of the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship in Purdue's Discovery Park.  Those with an idea can come there and get help with development, marketing and finding funding.  Entrepreneurial student leader Make Asem said Purdue University is a boiling pot of ideas.

"Purdue has a lot of talented individuals.  A great pool of talent in the student body.  We want to see ideas be taken further.  The Foundry is a great step to make that happen."

Purdue Research Foundation President Dan Hasler said there are already people ready to use the facility.
The Foundry is slated to open July 15.
