USA - Zimmer to expand Warsaw foundry, add 100 jobs

<font size="2">WARSAW, Ind. (AP) - Orthopedics manufacturer Zimmer Holdings Inc. plans to create nearly 100 new jobs in </font><font size="2">Warsaw by 2011.</font>

<font size="2">The new jobs are part of a $19 million expansion.</font>

<font size="2">The company will add 50,000 square feet to its foundry, which will produce implants used for hip, knee </font><font size="2">and shoulder replacements. Zimmer spokesman Brad Bishop said the foundry addition is expected to be </font><font size="2">completed by mid-2009.</font>

<font size="2">This is the company's fourth expansion since 2004. Zimmer currently employs about 2,800 people in </font><font size="2">Warsaw, about 40 miles northwest of Fort Wayne.</font>
