The inauguration ceremony of Niwa Foundry Vietnam took place in Danang Hi-tech Park (DHTP) in the afternoon of March 10th, 2017. This is 30 million USD investment project from Japan, with a total area of more than 3 ha, focusing on manufacturing molded products used in hydraulic parts, high precision parts.
Attendants of the ceremony were Mr. Ho Ky Minh - Vice Chairman of Danang People’s Committee; Leaders of DHTP Management Board; Leaders of relevent municipal departments; Niwa Foundry (Japan)’s Board of Directors, together with representatives from more than 70 businesses from Japan and Thailand.
In his opening speech, Mr. Niwa Tatsumi - President of Niwa Foundry expressed his sincere gratitude to the local government, DHTP Management Board and other organisations who had supported Niwa to complete its factory construction and pilot phase. The President asserted that Niwa Foundry’s development would meet the expectations of a hi-tech project in DHTP, not only contributing to the city’s exports but also sypplying high quality products for the domestic market.
On behalf of the city’s leaders, Mr. Ho Ky Minh congratulated Niwa Foundry on completing the factory construction process, starting operation and showed his appreciation for the company’s trust by choosing Danang as an investment location.
The Vice Chairman emphasised that the city’s top priority currently is attracting and developing the high technology industry with high added values and environmental friendliness, increasing technology transfer, creating a sustainable industry. In order to achieve these aims, contribution from the business community, especially FDI businesses, which have great technological, financial and human resource capability, is strongly needed. He also expected that Niwa Foundry Vietnam can help to build a more attractive investment environment in DHTP, contributing to the socio-economic development of Danang at large, particularly the supporting industry which is still poorly developed.
Niwa Foundry Vietnam is a 100% Japanese FDI project, whose headquarter is Niwa Foundry Japan, located in Gifu, Japan, a company specialised in molding, producing components used in hydrolic parts, mechanic parts with high precision in agricultual and industrial machinery based on completely automatic production lines.
This is the second project to be granted the Investment Certificate in DHTP and started construction in March 2015. The factory has carried out pilot production in many products using Japanese industrial standard. It is estimated that the factory’s production capacity will reach more than 500 tonnes of products per month.
