WAUPACA FOUNDRY: HONORED BY BOSCH REXROT’S

Waupaca Foundry is the only global supplier to be recognized by Bosch Rexroth with awards in three categories in 2023.

Waupaca Foundry makes hydraulic motors housings for Bosch Rexroth, a global supplier of automation solutions for industrial and mobile applications. 2023 the metalcaster was honored at Bosch Rexroth’s annual awards dinner, which recognized 300 suppliers worldwide and included awards for 2021 and 2022.

Waupaca Foundry was cited for excellence as a top performer in corporate social responsibility and sustainability, and for technological and corporate partnership. The recognitions were based on the following criteria:

Top Performer: Waupaca Foundry received high scores in contract signatures, pricing, quality, and product delivery. Bosch Rexroth reports the supplier’s quality was among the top foundries worldwide.

Sustainability: Bosch Rexroth recognized the foundry as delivering the best practice in sustainability and corporate social responsibility of all suppliers worldwide. The iron casting supplier was given high marks in disclosing environmental performance in a CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project).

Corporate Partnership: Bosch Rexroth cited Waupaca Foundry for finding creative solutions to meet challenges in product quality, shipping, and product delivery. The foundry was recognized for professionalism and honoring pricing agreements during the pandemic.

“Paying close attention to the daily issues of doing business makes a difference,” said Todd Pagel, vice president of operations. “We can produce the best castings in the world, but if they don’t get to the customer on time and with accuracy, it won’t matter.”
