From prototypes from its own in-house prototype department, over initial samples, up to painted, fully-machined and assembled serial parts - Isselburg Guss und Bearbeitung is the right partner with more than 225 years of experience.

As a result of the close cooperation between its customers and its specialists in the foundry and Mechanical Processing Department, Isselburg Guss is in a position to offer optimum solutions for each component with respect to quality and costs. Its Engineering Departments are supported in this by state-of-the-art construction design-, CNC- and simulation-software.

The strategic cooperation with customers, design consulting, simultaneous engineering, model and tool development, as well as prototype production up to series production readiness are a strong support for the efficiency and the quality level in the production of castings.

On two molding lines with box sizes of 1050 x 780 x 300 / 250 and 1400 x 850 x 500 / 500, Isselburg Guss is able to produce up to 30.000 tons per year of high-quality castings in Grey iron (GG15 – GG35), nodular iron (GGG40 – GGG70 and GGG alloyed)  and vermicular graphite (GGV).

With unit weights of 20 – 520 KG, customers all over Europe, USA and Asia in all different sectors can be supported, for example:

  • Engines
  • Construction machines
  • Pumps / Compressors
  • Tractors
  • Commercial vehicles
  • General Industry
  • Forklift trucks
  • Railways
  • Robots
  • and many more…

Over 80% of all castings from Isselburg Guss will be machined in-house on state-of-the-art machines.

Several machining cells with turning, drilling and balancing operations for turning diameters from 250 to 1000 mm, with optimized setup times for production of lot sizes from 10 to 3000 pcs, as well as modern Hüller-Hille machining centers with Pallet sizes of 630mm to 1200 mm, optimized for the production of lot sizes from 10 up to 500 pcs.

As this is sometimes not enough for its highly demanding customers, Isselburg Guss is also able to take the responsibility for the entire logistic process required for supplying customers with fully assembled products. The integration of casting, priming/painting and mechanical processing into an optimized and controlled process enables the assembly of components which they have either produced themselves, and bought-in parts as well, to form a ready-to-use product. As a result of this process, customers can concentrate fully on their core competencies without being exposed to the daily stress of having to solve logistical problems.

Supported by state-of-the-art measurement technology, Isselburg's quality management system guarantees compliance with the agreed standards from the customer enquiry up to the shipping of the ready to use products.

Modern quality management methods such as the continuous improvement process combined with a highly motivated workforce form the basis for achieving a zero-fault target.

Isselburg Guss is one of a few German iron foundries which can currently show that it uses a management system which is certified according to IATF 16949 (Quality Management including ISO 9001), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 50001 (Energy Management) as well.
