Eng. Mohamed Shimi, Chairman of Egyptian Co. for the Metro Management & Operation has announced that it has awarded L.E. 30 million contract for the supply and erection of 24 electric escalators at overhead stations of Cairo Metro first line indicating that the escalators will be installed at El Sayyeda Zeinab Station, Dar El Salam Station, Ghamra Station, El Dimerdash Station, Ain Shams Station & El Marj Station.
Project has been pending over the past 25 years since the line was inaugurated.
