Creaform, a business unit of AMETEK, Inc. and a world leader in portable 3D measurement solutions and engineering services, today announced the launch of VXelements 11TM, a highly anticipated update with an impressive array of new features and high levels of performance.

The biggest change in VXelements 11 was made in VXinspectTM, the dimensional inspection module of VXelements. VXinspect has been segmented into two distinct modules: VXinspect| Analysis and VXinspect| Quality Control. Both have been completely redesigned and optimized based on two distinct phases of the manufacturing quality control process:

  • O VXinspect| Analysis is an intuitive, easy-to-use inspection software that optimizes dimensional and root cause analysis of designs and manufacturing.
  • O VXinspect| Quality Control is a complete 3D inspection software for advanced quality control applications in subsequent phases of production.

The VXelements scan-to-CAD module for reverse engineering and additive manufacturing workflows, VXmodelTM, is now compatible with Fusion 360, a popular cloud-based CAD software for product development and design. Fusion 360 is now part of the wide range of seamless integrations with other CAD solutions, which includes SolidWorks, Inventor and Solid Edge. Users can transfer CAD files directly from VXmodel to Fusion 360 for easier reverse engineering processes.

In order to improve flexibility and simplicity, Creaform has expanded interoperability between VXscan-RTM, its digital twin software module, and new robot makes and models, such as UR10, Fanuc CRX-25i and M-10iD/8L. With certain collaborative robots, VXscan-R also allows users to record trajectories directly from the programming terminal.

In preparation for the new release, Creaform has made extensive usability and ergonomic improvements to the VXelements application modules, making the platform even more intuitive and enhancing the user experience for operators of all skill levels.

"At Creaform, we are committed to investing in our software solutions to maximize the value of our 3D scanners to our customers. This VXelements update aligns with the organization's software vision and lays a solid foundation for the future," said David Robichaud, Technical Product Manager at Creaform.
