Never before has the industry changed as rapidly as it does today. This also has implications for the requirements of trade shows. Therefore, the DeburringEXPO will no longer be held as a standalone event in the future, but will be incorporated into the new trade show PARTS FINISHING, the first edition of which is now scheduled for November 12 and 13, 2025. The new two-day event combines the topics of deburring technologies, component cleaning, and surface finishing and will take place at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Center.

Megatrends such as mobility and energy transition, demographic change, and digitalization present new challenges for the economy and society, but also offer opportunities. They require manufacturing companies, including their suppliers, to develop new products and adapt their manufacturing strategies. These changes also affect the trade show landscape. "After many discussions with exhibitors of the DeburringEXPO and intensive observation of the development of various trade shows, we have decided not to hold the trade fair for deburring technologies as a standalone event anymore," reports Hartmut Herdin, Managing Director of the private trade fair organizer fairXperts GmbH & Co. KG. "In the future, the topic of deburring technologies will be bundled together with component cleaning and surface finishing in the new two-day trade show PARTS FINISHING." Surface finishing includes processes such as fine grinding, polishing, honing, lapping, vibratory finishing, shot blasting, and brushing.

Change of PARTS FINISHING Trade Show Dates

With this innovative concept, the experienced trade fair organizer has received very positive feedback from the market and has already secured registrations from well-known equipment manufacturers, among others. "The discussions have also revealed that many interested companies have already completed and budgeted their trade show planning for this year. Therefore, we have decided to postpone the start of PARTS FINISHING by one year and to hold it on November 12 and 13, 2025, at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Center," explains Hartmut Herdin the date change. Afterwards, the event will take place every two years in odd-numbered years.

Effective Cost-Benefit Ratio

By combining these three important and quality-defining areas in parts manufacturing and having a two-day duration, the organizer meets the requirements and wishes of the market. "More and more companies are questioning the cost-benefit ratio of participating in a traditional trade show," explains Hartmut Herdin. "For example, presenting machines at the booth requires a lot of space, which drives up costs. However, performance and expertise can be effectively presented digitally today." These considerations have been incorporated into the trade show concept for PARTS FINISHING. On the one hand, it enables decision-makers in parts manufacturing to obtain condensed information about solutions and promotes dialogue between users and exhibitors in the development of cross-process solutions for specific applications. On the other hand, the shortened two-day duration of the trade show saves costs for travel, accommodation, and personnel. "This aspect is supported by high-quality, turnkey, and customizable booth packages at fixed costs, which save time, money, and resources during trade show preparation," adds the trade fair organizer.

The concept of PARTS FINISHING is thus specifically tailored to the purpose of trade shows: building and maintaining contacts between users and providers as well as networking and deepening connections between exhibitors. "The latter enables the formation of strategic partnerships and joint tackling of new projects as system suppliers," notes Hartmut Herdin.
