The objective is to further strengthen the EFF as a robust European-level structure capable of designing, coordinating, and implementing strategic projects that directly support the competitiveness, resilience, and transformation of the European foundry sector.
In this context, the role of the EFF extends well beyond traditional representation and lobbying activities. The Federation is evolving into a reference platform and strategic backbone for the foundry industry—connecting national associations, consolidated sector expertise, and European decision-makers in a structured and effective manner.
At a time of accelerating regulation, intensifying global competition, and far-reaching industrial transformation, a strong, well-organised, and credible European voice is more essential than ever. The Board Seminar therefore marks an important milestone in building the governance structures, tools, and capabilities required to safeguard the future of the European foundry industry.
Together, the EFF and its members are laying the foundations for a stronger and more resilient European framework—supporting innovation, investment, and industrial sustainability across the sector.
The EFF extends its sincere thanks to its President Chiara Danieli, as well as Board Members Fabio Zanardi, Clemens Küpper, Ignacio De la Peña, Mehmet Rifat Özalp, and Witold Dobosz.
Further appreciation is extended to the Secretary Generals Silvano Squaratti, Martin Theuringer, Oroitz Unzain Villegas, Wilfrid Boyault, and to the EFF Secretary General Ainhoa Ondarzabal for their strong commitment, active participation, and constructive contributions throughout the seminar.
Their shared engagement is essential to turning strategic ambitions into concrete actions and to guiding the European foundry industry through a period of significant transformation.
