The meeting, attended by representatives of leading European foundry associations from across Europe, saw important decisions taken to reshape the future of the Federation.

Among the most important developments was the decision to give the federation a new name, which will be from 2024, the European Foundry Federation will be renamed EFF.

This change reflects the Federation's commitment to strengthening its presence and influence within the European foundry industry.

The transformation is underpinned by a newly created governance structure. A President has been elected to lead the Association for a three-year term, supported by a Board of Directors made up of the Presidents of the main European foundry associations.

Chiara Danieli is the new President

Chiara Danieli (France) was elected President of the EFF to bring her experience and knowledge of the industry.

The newly formed Board is made up of esteemed members who have each served as President of their associations in Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland and Turkey. They guarantee a wealth of expertise and leadership for the EFF. This dynamic leadership team is ready to take the Federation to new horizons.

The main objective behind these changes is to strengthen the visibility of the organization and establish it as the reliable, authoritative voice of the European foundry industry. In a climate of changing challenges and strong competition with numerous competitors, coupled with the need to increase industrial capacity, the foundry sector recognizes the urgent need for increased representation on the political stage in Brussels.

The European Foundry Federation (EFF) is ready to seize the opportunity with its structure to deal with the complexities of a rapidly changing industrial landscape. Through acting as a unifying force, the Federation aims to drive the foundry industry towards greater innovation, sustainability and  competitiveness on the European stage.
