Reading time: min

Starting signal for the construction project Plant 4: With the ground-breaking ceremony on May 14, 2018, the implementation of a master plan for the expansion of the production area at the BLANK foundry in Riedlingen begins. On this occasion, the management of FEINGUSS BLANK GmbH and the companies involved in the construction were gathered.

Ingo Bitzer, managing director of FEINGUSS BLANK GmbH, first praised the smooth and fast planning of the new building in a short speech and wished the project participants much success for the upcoming implementation phase.

The new plant will create an innovative production line for the area of mechanical processing and assembly on an area of approx. 3600 m². Here, in a modern machine park, the cast products are reworked according to customer requirements and completed into assemblies.

"The new building should be a first important step towards Digital Factory. In addition to expanding production, Plant 4 also serves to test new automation options and smarter working conditions. Our goal is to make our manufacturing more efficient and discover new ways of working as part of a Digital Factory."

On the production floor, approx. 2700 square meters in size, production lines are created on which humans and robots work hand in hand. The building is due to be occupied in the second quarter of 2019.
