Due to the current Corona situation and the associated restrictions, the German Foundry Day 2021 in Aachen had to be canceled.
As Dr.-Ing. Dr.-Ing.E.h. Erwin Flender, General Manager of the VDG and President of the BDG, said that he very much regrets to cancel this event, which is extremely popular with the members of the foundry family. The German Foundry Day thrives on intensive personal exchange and so virtual alternatives could be no alternative and do not justice to the nature of the event.
Like all members, exhibitors and visitors to the Foundry Day, Flender would like to see face-to-face events soon how we love them and thanked everyone who was already involved in the preparations.
The general assembly (committee meetings) are held virtually.
