IFEX 2024 – 20th International Exhibition on Foundry Technology, Equipment, Supplies and Services concurrent with 72nd Indian Foundry Congress will be an excellent platform for the Indian as well as overseas companies to showcase their state-of-the-art technologies and services being offered to this vibrant industry to get exposed to new business opportunities.

India is 2nd largest producer of castings in the world and has ambitious growth plans with new capacities being added at rapid pace. The Indian Foundry Industry is producing estimated 12 Million MT of various grades of Castings as per International standards. There are approx. 4500 units out of which 85% can be classified as small scale units & 10% as medium & 5% as large scale units. Foundry Industry has a turnover of approx USD 20 billion with exports approx. USD 3.54 billion. India's casting industry expected to reach USD 25 billion by 2025.

IFEX 2023 & Cast India Expo 2023 successfully conducted with satisfied exhibitors. Buyers and trade visitors from pan India and nearby countries visited the show. Many companies had meetings with their key buyers making the show.

About The Fair

IFEX 2024: 20th International Exhibition on Foundry Technology, Equipment, Supplies and Services concurrent with 72nd Indian Foundry Congress will be an excellent platform for the Indian as well as overseas companies to showcase their state-of-the-art technologies and services being offered to this vibrant industry to get exposed to new business opportunities.

Cast Inda Expo 2024: The only trade fair in India, which is rapidly becoming one of the important casting sourcing destinations in Asia - Cast India Expo will be organized concurrent to IFEX 2024 and 72nd Indian Foundry Congress. This is an excellent platform for the foundries from all across India to display their capacities and capabilities to the buyers coming from across the globe.

Cast India Expo is a platform for the Indian Casting Manufacturers to display their casting manufacturing capacities and capabilities. The presence of these casting manufacturers as exhibitors in the same venue will provide a ready customer base for Indian and International suppliers.

LFC EXPO 2024: Vehicle manufacturing has become extremely complex, costly, and competitive during the past 30 years. Global competition, vehicle technology, and consumer demands have brought us owner satisfaction surveys, innovations as complex as electronic stability control and the most efficient, yet most intricate engines ever produced. With advances in product technology come demands for advances in product manufacturing.

A significant portion of most brands’ fleets sold in the world, have all-aluminum engines. The use of this lightweight metal reduces vehicle weight, increases fuel efficiency and reduces ownership costs. A popular manufacturing process for these all-aluminum engines is called Evaporative Pattern Casting, more popularly referred to as Lost Foam Casting (LFC). The materials most commonly used in LFC are aluminum and iron. As the process name implies, the castings are made from polystyrene foam patterns that evaporate once the molten metal is introduced into the sand casing.

Lost-foam casting (LFC) is a casting method used to create solid metal parts from molten metal. The cost of production of these castings by the LFC process is much less relative to the conventional processes, such as sand casting. Over the past 20 — 25 years, almost 30% of the die cast components have come to be produced by the LFC process. Major strides in the LFC of cast irons and aluminum alloys are attributed to significant research and development endeavors of the automotive industry. Much of these are in the development of new polymers, bead expansion techniques, selection of favorable alloys and parameters. Thus, scientific data related to superheats, heat transfer, flow length, etc. are available to a reasonable extent for LFC of cast irons and aluminum alloys.

For the first time in India we are excited to host the Lost Foam India Expo on 2nd, 3rd & 4th of February 2024 at BIEC Bangalore. Be a part of this and multifold your manufacturing ecosystem for a brighter future.
