A change in strategy led the company to relocate in 2018 and in March 2023 a new chapter was opened: Inductotherm inaugurated the site in Langerwehe as its permanent headquarters after a five-year lease. The transfer of ownership of the properties took place on 1 March 2023.

Sales, service, and repairs are organised from Langerwehe, near Aachen. The main reason for the move in 2018 was to expand the service portfolio, particularly for comprehensive service for melting furnace systems. This was accompanied by the expansion of the team at the German site. "Our team handles everything: from the sale of new systems, spare parts, upgrades and overhauls, service, maintenance, installation supervision, training and commissioning," Thomas Kähler stated, Managing Director of Inductotherm Germany. Tasks such as mechanical repairs are carried out in the company's own repair shop or directly at the customer's premises. Apropos customers: Inductotherm Germany also serves customers in neighbouring countries such as the Netherlands, Austria, and Switzerland.

Expansion plans and future strategies for Germany as a business location

Further expansion plans and future strategies for the German site are already being planned. These include the expansion of the repair shop for the manufacturing and the repair of production-related components (e.g., water-cooled cables) as well as coils.
