ITALPRESSE SPEAKS ABOUT THE ADVANTAGES OF THE TOGGLE FREE MACHINE AT THE FOUNDRY WORKSHOP IN UK
Next 24th June ITALPRESSE will be a guest speaker of the FOUNDRY WORKSHOP UK, held at Hilton Hotel, in Bromsgrove, Birmingham.
Alessandro Benini will give a technical lecture about the Toggle free TF diecasting machine: a machine closing end new design which improves the production speed and the quality of casting.
The event is supported by ICME, the Insititue of Cast Metal Enginners, the Diecasting Society and by FESA, the Foundry Equipment and Suppliers Association.

The toggle free design concept was developed by Italpresse in 2005. It's now operating on almost 50 machines around the world and it is appreciated by many end-users, above all because of the production flexibility. In fact the TF machine shows a better adaptation capacity to the die deformations. The consequence of developing the clamping force directly on the tie bars, by using four independent block cylinders, is represented by a more uniform stress distribution on the entire die: this means a longer durability of mechanical components, as well as the die, because of their correct functioning in accordance with the design specifications. Plus, of course, less metal flashing and an overall better quality on the castings. At the end of the day there are more good castings in the box!
The great diminution of parts subject to relative friction (e.g. rods, pins and bushes) turns into less wear and less lubrication need, as well as less maintenance.
The smaller overall dimensions, together with a larger machine opening, means space-saving and access facilitation.
