Norican Group Americas appoints Mike Lewis as new head of sales and service

[US] LaGrange, Georgia, Norican Group, parent company to leading industrial equipment brands DISA, Italpresse Gauss, StrikoWestofen and Wheelabrator, has appointed Mike Lewis as its new Vice President for Sales and Service in North and South America. In this position, he will be responsible for sales and service for all four Norican Group brands.

With a total of 36 years of Norican experience under his belt, Mike’s deep knowledge of the metalworking industry makes him the perfect person to understand what customers really need. Mike started as a service technician with DISA, then worked his way up to service manager before becoming DISA President for North America in 2004. Most recently VP Commercial Operations for Norican Group Americas, he gained a degree in Business Management from Aurora University in 1999.

Investing to support customers

“I’m very excited to take over this role,” said Mike. “Our industry is more competitive than ever and, as we come out of the pandemic, our customers are looking to us to help them improve performance. I’m looking forward to continuing to broaden and deepen our customer support, becoming even more responsive to customer requests and making it as simple as possible for them to access the incredible combined expertise of the four Norican Group brands.”

Norican Group has spent the last two years upgrading its infrastructure to better serve its customers and transform the way it delivers equipment, parts and services. In 2020, it moved all manufacturing and operations for the four brands into its LaGrange Technology Hub in Georgia where a new state-of-the-art operations and assembly facility will open in 2022.

The best equipment with the best support

“I am pleased that Mike has accepted this new role,” said Kim Tjerrild, Senior Vice President Americas at Norican Group. “With his years of experience in the industry, he will be a welcome addition to the new management team, leading Norican Group Americas into a new future based on customer focus and making sure we exceed our customers’ expectations.”

“To build world class support and customer service, we are investing heavily in a new logistics set-up in the USA and we are partnering a third-party logistics company to improve our speed of delivery,” said Kim. “This, accompanied by the newly announced headquarters, is designed to give our employees the best environment to optimize our support to all our valued customers.”
