Effective February 1, 2020, Marcus Gerlach (48) has taken over as CEO of Rheinmetall Automotive's Hardparts division. He succeeds Helmut Freiermuth, who will apply himself to new tasks outside the group.
Marcus Gerlach has been with the Rheinmetall Group since 1999. After holding various commercial positions in Germany and abroad, Gerlach headed the former KS Aluminium-Technologie GmbH (now KS HUAYU AluTech GmbH) before moving to the USA as President of Pierburg US, LLC, Fountain Inn / SC, also part of the Group.
Gerlach was most recently responsible for Purchasing within the Mechatronics division of Rheinmetall Automotive. Since 2018, he was also Chief Purchasing Officer Non Production Material of the entire Rheinmetall Group
