Her renewed mandate reflects not only her longstanding commitment to the sector but also the Society’s ambition to further strengthen its role in the international foundry community.
The Slovenian Foundrymen Society, one of the country’s largest and oldest technical associations, unites the most important foundry companies alongside a wide network of experts from Slovenia and abroad. As an organisation operating in the public interest and deeply rooted in scientific and technological advancement, it has been publishing Livarski vestnik—a respected journal and reference point for foundry research and practice—for more than seven decades.
Beyond its publishing activities, the Society is renowned for organising the international foundry conference in Portorož, a key regional meeting place for industry leaders, researchers, and innovators. A highlight of its international engagement came in 2019, when, as an active member of the World Foundry Organization (WFO), it proudly hosted the World Foundry Forum in Portorož, welcoming top-level experts and decision-makers from across the globe.
