At Agritechnica 2025, MAN Truck & Bus is presenting the MAN TGS 18.540 4x4 agricultural truck, a semitrailer tractor specially designed for agricultural applications that combines traction, efficiency and flexibility in one vehicle. Classified as an agricultural tractor, the MAN agricultural truck is ideally suited for use between the field and the processing plant – even in difficult soil conditions. The finishing specialists at MAN Individual ensure its visually strong appearance.

The latest version of the agricultural truck is part of MAN Engines' comprehensive trade fair appearance under the motto "Powering the green transformation – off-road solutions for the future". In Hall 15, Stand G06, MAN Truck & Bus' business unit for the external engine business will be showcasing innovative drive solutions for agricultural machinery – including modernised diesel and gas engines, MAN original factory-overhauled off-road engines and the new MAN BatteryPack for mobile and industrial all-electric drive applications.

"The MAN TGS agricultural truck is an example of the combination of drive know-how and body building expertise – and shows how MAN addresses the diverse requirements of modern agriculture in a holistic way. It is in its element both in the field and on the road and facilitates the farmer's daily transport tasks," says Johann Schuster, Head of Mechanical Development at MAN Individual.

Technology for practice: Powerful and gentle on the soil

The MAN TGS 18.540 4x4 BL SA is based on the proven D2676 engine with a displacement of 12.4 litres, Euro 6e emission standard and an output of 540 hp. The maximum torque of 2,650 Nm is available from 930 rpm and ensures powerful and efficient propulsion in every situation. Power is transmitted via the automated MAN TipMatic 12-speed transmission with specially tuned drive programs for off-road, performance and efficiency operation. Thanks to permanent all-wheel drive and soil-friendly agricultural wide tyres, the truck is also ideally equipped for wet operating conditions and grassland. The load-sensing hydraulic system with a flow rate of up to 100 l/min and the trailer coupling bracket with forced steering enable precise control of agricultural equipment and trailers.

Comfort and safety for the driver

The medium-length cab, called "NN", combines compact dimensions with robust construction and high practicality. It offers optimal visibility, comfortable entry and sufficient storage space – ideal for agricultural applications. Visually, the agricultural truck impresses with the MAN TGS INDIVIDUAL LION S package, which combines functional elements such as LED high-beam headlights with design accents in carbon and red. The driver-focused cockpit with intuitive MAN SmartSelect operation, which is safe even with heavy body movements, together with the 12.3-inch instrument cluster Professional offers a modern and ergonomic working environment. Additional safety is provided by the Lane Return Assist (LRA), a reversing camera system and the adaptive cruise control ACC Stop and Go. The MAN PriTarder high-performance engine brake with EVBec decelerates with up to 625 kW – ideal for heavy loads and steep gradients.

The MAN agricultural truck also has a ROPS roll bar behind the cab. This increases the resistance of the cab in the event of overturning or rolling, and ensures survival space for the driver.

Flexibility in use

The TGS is equipped with both fifth wheel coupling and trailer trestle and can therefore be used for various transport tasks. Approval as an LOF vehicle (agriculture or forestry) brings practical advantages such as the elimination of the Sunday driving ban and the tachograph requirement.
