The exhibition industry is back in the game. Targi Kielce is back on track, too; this is undoubtedly a great joy for you?

AM: Although the pandemic has changed the industry, it has not changed the desire to meet. We are all the more pleased; we can organise meetings again, especially after a long idle time.  Since the beginning of September, we have held the International Defence Industry Exhibition, which hosted 11,000 visitors from around the world, the Aviation Expo; considered Poland’s most important aviation-industry event, the Expo-Gas Gas Technology Fair and the one-day FORUM KIELCE BIKE-EXPO; this has been a success-streak. The story continues; our September’s and October’s events calendar is also packed.

What are the Kielce exhibition and congress centre’s plans for autumn?

AM:  The Sacroexpo and the KIDS’ Time Fair are held in September,  October will be the time of specialised events, including the International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing PLASTPOL, the International Fair of Technologies for Foundry METAL, the Exhibition of Metal Processing Technologies.  The exhibition events’ plan is enhanced with gala ceremonies, conferences, seminars and business meetings organised in our Congress Centre. In addition, the Congress Centre will see several musical events, including the “Nocny Kochanek” band live in concert, an acoustic performance by Michał Wiśniewski or the National Festival of Poetic and Tourism Songs “At the Fireplace”.

You mentioned the International Fair of Technologies for Foundry METAL. What can exhibitors and visitors expect at this year’s show?

AM: The International Fair of Technologies for Foundry METAL is one of Europe’s most important foundry business events.  The Kielce trade show has always featured innovative technologies and offered the opportunity to meet and talk to numerous top specialists. Participants of this year’s METAL will find it interesting that the METAL expo is held parallel to the Exhibition of Metal Processing Technologies. Combining the two events, which are similar to a certain extent, makes this an even more comprehensive and specialised industry meeting.

A safe meeting during the pandemic is a great challenge for the organisers. What ate the safety measures which have been introduced at the Kielce exhibition and congress centre?

AM:  We organised several events in the autumn of 2020; already-on, we proved that it is possible to hold safe and sound expos.  This year will be no different;  safety comes first.  We go the extra mile to organise safe events manner; all the necessary precautions are in place. The mobile cabinets equipped with body-temperature screening devices and automatic disinfection functions have been installed in Targi Kielce.  In addition to the innovative walk-through devices, we have introduced an increased cleaning regime; regular disinfection of frequently touched infrastructure elements. All visitors and exhibitors attending the autumn expo are requested to fill in a COVID-19 vaccination survey. The information regarding the number of people who have been vaccinated is necessary to estimate how many people can stay at the trade fair premises at the same time.
