The contest honors women whose knowledge, passion, and dedication significantly contribute to the development of the Polish foundry industry – both in science and in practice.
This social and educational initiative aims to promote the role of women in technical professions, inspire young talents to pursue careers in the field, and break down outdated stereotypes within the engineering community.
Awards will be presented in three categories:
-
Business
-
Science
-
Young Women in Foundry
Applications are open until October 27, 2025.
Online voting for the candidates will begin on November 1, 2025, via www.stowarzyszenie-stop.pl and on the Association’s social media channels (LinkedIn and Facebook).
The competition is held under the patronage of the Faculty of Foundry Engineering at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, the World Foundry Organization (WFO), the Perspektywy Educational Foundation, the Committee on Materials Science and Metallurgy of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations (NOT).
Krakodlew SA serves as a competition partner, and Przegląd Odlewnictwa (Foundry Review) is the media partner.
Foundry-Planet is proud to support this initiative — because we truly believe that there are already many remarkable women in the foundry industry, but there could be many more — in Poland, across Europe, and around the world.
This initiative clearly shows: Passion, knowledge, and professionalism have no gender – they have power!
