Successful buyback from insolvency estate – Resumption of operations in the German Siegelsbach
It looks good again to the ZPF: After serious management failures and the bankruptcies of three corporations of the holding company, the opinion leader in aluminium smelters begins operation again. The starting pistol for the restart on November 4th was fired by Norbert Feth, former sales manager of the ZPF Therm, and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hubertus Semrau, formerly managing director at the same place. The financial basis was laid by the two directors themselves and by private investors personally known by both of the founders.
“Based on our longtime, very positive experiences from the period up to 2010, we decided to realize a rebuild around development, production, sales and service of aluminum smelters along with the highly motivated and well qualified ZPF team and our business partners“, Feth said. In particular, two factors have led to this decision: “For one thing, almost the entire know-how charged, highly successful team from the period prior to 2010 is at our disposal, strengthened by competent new entrants", said Semrau. “And for another thing, we are supported by overwhelming customer confidence based on this ‚new, old' team.“
Background: In 1993, the ZPF Therm began as a sole proprietorship and grew to about 60 employees up to the year 2010. After restructuring to a holding company with several subsidiaries and a global expansion, the bankruptcies of ZPF Therm Maschinenbau GmbH, the ZPF Services GmbH and the ZPF Holding GmbH ensued. By means of a slimmed management and the merging of the activities at the site Siegelsbach, a stable basis is established to build on the previous successes of the original individual enterprise.
