With its broad range of exhibitors and an extensive supporting programme featuring presentations, events, competitions and the 23rd Die Casting Conference, EUROGUSS 2024 once again promises to be an unmissable event for the sector. The anticipation is already palpable: The international die casting trade fair from 16 to 18 January 2024 is fully booked and is set to welcome more than 620 German and international exhibitors. In Nuremberg, trade visitors will find a central platform where they can discuss the latest developments from the entire die casting supply chain and collaborate to shape the future of the industry. EUROGUSS 2024 also marks the start of NürnbergMesse’s 50th anniversary year.

In 2024, the international die casting exhibition will once again live up to its name, with an international exhibitor contingent of 60 percent. Exhibitors are travelling to Nuremberg from 33 countries, but primarily from Italy, Turkey, Spain, Austria and Switzerland. They will demonstrate what die casting has to offer along the entire supply chain – from miniature zinc die-cast components to huge die-cast parts in aluminium, known as giga or mega castings.

“Thanks to the participation of virtually all well-known foundries, machinery manufacturers and mould fabricators from this field, mega casting will be a key topic at EUROGUSS 2024,” says Christopher Boss, Executive Director of EUROGUSS. “At the same time, the exhibitor stands and many different formats at the trade fair will once again provide an impressive display of the existing breadth and future capabilities of die casting.”

The platform for the issues of the future

On the first day, Sarna Röser will open Speakers’ Corner in Hall 9 at 9.30 with the keynote “Tommorrow's Leaders. Challenges for the NextGen SME sector”. This will be followed by a panel discussion among industry experts: “The future of SMEs: Are we casting the future in Germany?!” The programme of presentations in Speakers’ Corner will begin immediately afterwards with a high-calibre panel on the topic of sustainability.

The Speakers’ Corner also has plenty to offer on the other two days of the fair. The programme, including the BME Buyers’ Day, is jam-packed with presentations on sustainability, additive manufacturing, start-ups and design.

Experience the diverse applications for die casting live in action

The European Die Casting Award puts the spotlight on the diverse range of applications for die casting. It shows the public and industrial customers the innovative strength, high standard of quality and capability of this forming process using aluminium, magnesium and zinc. The awards for the three best cast components in each material will be presented at 11.45 in the St. Petersburg Room on the first day of the show.

Knowledge-sharing at the highest level

Organized by the Association of German Die Casting Foundries (VDD) and the German Foundry Association (BDG), the 23rd Die Casting Conference will run parallel to EUROGUSS in the St. Petersburg Room in NCC Ost. On all three days of the exhibition, experts from well-known companies or automobile manufacturers like Volvo and the BMW Group will discuss technical innovations and market developments in die casting in numerous presentations.

Focus on the next generation

A new addition to the repertoire is the Student Day on the final day of the exhibition, when EUROGUSS invites students from various disciplines to get to know the exciting world of die casting. The all-day programme includes presentations, guided tours, and high-tech machines in action.

Making its third appearance is the Talent Award, where EUROGUSS recognizes the innovative solutions proposed by young international talents from the sector in the context of their bachelor’s and master’s theses.

Meeting places with specific focus and concentrated insights

The Italian, Spanish and Czech pavilions, Additive Manufacturing pavilion, Special Show “Research for Knowledge” and “Young Innovatorspavilion are all platforms for key topics. Visitors will find these meeting places ideal for focused discussions about research, innovations, start-ups, and the opportunities of 3D printing in die casting.

The Guided Tours are an efficient way for visitors to get information on specific topics like giga casting. The tours, which are moderated and conducted by industry experts, are particularly interesting for newcomers to the industry and provide a concentrated overview of the opportunities in die casting in just 60 minutes.
