Following the successful first run in 2022, the Association of German Die Casting Foundries (VDD) and EUROGUSS are once again organizing the European Die Casting Competition, which is supported by the Bundesverband der Deutschen Gießerei-Industrie e.V. (BDG), Aluminium Deutschland e. V. (AD) and the Europäische Forschungsgemeinschaft Magnesium e.V. (EFM).
The aim of the competition is to present to the public and customers the wide range of applications, innovative strength, high quality and performance of the die casting shaping process in the materials aluminum, magnesium and zinc.
The competition entries will be judged individually by material and evaluated on the basis of criteria such as innovation, quality, cost-effectiveness, resource-efficient design and degree of difficulty. Prizes will be awarded to the three best entries per material.
