After a long period of abstinence, Prof. Kallien from the University of Applied Sciences Aalen was once again able to invite students on an excursion. Students of the Foundry Technology 2 lecture visited the Schüle plant in Schwäbisch-Gmünd today to see the production of transmission components for ZF from the inside.
The completely interlinked production, in which a gearbox pot is produced from the aluminium melt in a very short time without manual intervention, impressed everyone. The volatile energy supply was the topic of the subsequent discussion. Schüle has already reacted and is able to convert the entire production to LPG.
