The acquisition offers the Procast Group another decisive advantage: “In Spain, we are gaining independence from the uncertainties of the German energy policy. For us, as a major energy consumer, energy costs and a secure supply are an existentially crucial business basis.”

The company is based in Abadiño near Bilbao (northern Spain), one of the industrial centres on the Iberian Peninsula. The company has an annual production capacity of 20,000 tonnes. Fundiciones Garbi’s customers hail from various key industries including wind turbines, wagon construction, mechanical engineering, toolmaking and engine construction. The entire business operations of the foundry company, as well as all of the approximately 80 employees, will be integrated into the Procast Group.
