As every year, Portoroz with its foundry conference is the prelude to the autumn session and thus to the third third of the year. From 14/09 - 16/09/2022
The place exudes Mediterranean serenity and elegance, and the Slovenian hosts never fail to impress with their overwhelming hospitality. At the same time, the conference offers the foundry industry and its participants from Slovenia, Germany, Austria, Italy and all of Eastern Europe a recognized platform for the exchange of experts at a high level.
Despite all obstacles, 40 lectures are planned again this year, 29 of them by international and 11 by Slovenian authors. On the very first day, participants can expect 10 plenary lectures by renowned scientists and experts from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary and Slovenia, after which the contributions will be thematically separated and arranged into the following thematic groups:
Section A: Cast Iron and Foundry Technology / 12 lectures)
Section B: Non-ferrous alloys (9 lectures)
Section C: Secondary equipment and technologies for foundries (9 presentations)
The internationally respected President of the Slovenian Foundry Association M.Sc. Eng. Mirjam Jan-Blažič expects about 250 participants for the event, and registrations are still possible until September.
In addition to the lectures, about 40 companies will present their products and services in the accompanying foundry exhibition.

Traditionally, the welcome and get-together will take place in picturesque Piran on the eve of the event. The hosts are looking forward to a healthy reunion!
